So, the last time I did a blanket
Top 5's request, one that I did not get a chance to answer (from
empressearwig was Top 5 Skincare Products. And as I'm about to settle in to give myself a little mini-home facial, I thought I'd fill this out now.
But, to be more specific...It's really more like a
I know, who do I think I am? Well, the truth is, I have very difficult skin. (I get
emergency facials, when necessary.) So, in different times of acting up, I do different things...
The usual (i.e. Everyday): The FC5 line from Arbonne International
The cleanser and toner are combined and this also shows the day and night moisturizer (and also a kiwi). I think that this product does amazing things for hydration and anti-aging, and I use the cleanser/toner twice a day, and the day and night moisturizers when appropriate. (I also use the eyecream at night, not pictured.)
Along with the FC5 regimen, I also use
It is the best lip-protector that ever was. I am so addicted to it that my lips literally tingle in the ten-twenty seconds it takes for me to put down my moisturizer, and get the chapstick on. It's from the Arbonne Before Sun line, and I got addicted to this when I was in Italy. Arbonne is a really fantastic line.
Once a week, to this regimen, I add:
Also from Arbonne. (Don't worry, I'm going to switch product lines in a second.) This is the Detox Seasource Mud Face & Body Mask (I don't really use it on my body, would get too messy) , and there is also a fantastic hair mask that I use once a month- but we're not talking about hair today. Some other time, perhaps.
*Oh, and by the way, all of the Arbonne body products are amazing too. I love the Detox Seasource Renewing Body Gelee, and the sunscreen is great too.
Now, like I said, my skin is tricky and difficult. When I have a normally difficult breakout (not the horror show I had earlier this summer), this is what I go to:
ENVIRON*sorry no pictures, won't work.
Oh my GOSH, I'm going to cry. I just realized that they discontinued the Day Cream I have used since I was, like 13, and it is my go-to, and that, along with the Alpha Hydroxy Mild Toner is how I start putting on make-up, every time I go to put make-up on for a night out. Oh no. Oh....no.
(What will I do, what will I do...)
Well, anyway, the cleanser I use with this line is the Interactive Cleansing Gel. I like gels for my skin type better than creams.
Okay, I'll try to move on with my life.
LIP FUSION XLCan be found at Sephora, $50 a pop and worth every penny. Before you all defriend me for spending $50 on lipgloss, just trust me. I am INSANE about my lips and how they feel and their softness and this stuff is literally like crack to me.
PREMIER MIRACLES SALT SCRUB AND BODY BUTTERThis is the shit that they sell in the mall with pictures of the Dead Sea. You know, the annoying people who flag you down, and try to give you a manicure on the spot. Well, they caught up with me one day, and if I am not the easiest sell ever...but seriously this scrub is amazing. You will embarrass yourself by how much you can't stop touching yourself. (Take that however you'd like to take it.)
And I think I've done more than five, but just one more, you simply must know this one as well...
Rhonda Allison's Epidermal Growth Factor Line
RA is very pricey, very shishi, and it pretty much saved me after Sun-Poisoning 'Gate 2010. I used the Growth Factor Gel.
Are you all defriending me now? Shall I go back to talking about Rambo?
Oh, and why don't I throw out another of these...
Ask me my Top Five Whatevers. Fannish or literary or otherwise. Any top fives. Doesn't matter what, really! Fandoms, ice cream flavours, books I might get around to writing one day, cartoon moments, women in my fandoms, OTPs, ideal holiday destinations, goals for the future, celebrity crushes, books I wish would be made into movies, love songs. And I will answer them all in a new post (or in comments). Possibly with pictures.
It's just good to do, every month or so...(for me and for you guys!)
