Lay It Down Slow

So! Finally finished up Prison Break, at long last. There were good moments, awesome moments, some really uneven moments and moments that felt like the writers were shitting their pants in protest of their cancellation. (Any word on the backstage politics of *those* decisions?) Overall, I ended the series with a wistful little tear in my eye, ( Read more... )

Wow! I've read over this a bit...now, I'm going to have to go read over it again. :)

I love how you write these epic posts! And I love your love for Dominic Purcells!

Your thoughts on Kellerman are very good and how I felt knowing he had become the "hero." I'm all about redemption stories but I felt that one was never fully explained. But I'm going on the fact that I watched this how many years ago as well...so I might just be forgetting some parts.

Oh, and about Sucre: I mean when I say he’d been carrying everyone, is he really made *all* of them a family.

You're right. I never really thought about it before, but you are so right!

I know. I go a little crazy with my opinions. :)

How much of the show did you watch? Did you just skip season 3 and tune back in in season 4 when you knew Sara was still alive?

Yup, that's pretty much what I did. LOL. I also got a little tired(?) I guess of the plotline in season 2. Maybe it was just me but it got a little bit confusing. But that's just me, I guess.

And, don't stop writing epic length posts. They are great to read. ;)

No, the whole show is confusing. Seriously. With the back and forth, and everyone and their mother double-crossing each other, you always forgot where you were with the story.

But I find it's a lot easier to follow shows when you're mainlining them, rather than watching one week to the next (and certainly over long hiatuses).

Yeah, I think you are probably right. And for me, I think I would miss one or two because of prior plans and not realizing they were one again because FOX did have a weird schedule for them. Actually tv has weird hiatuses anymore. I remember when there were new episodes Sept - Dec (first part of the month) and then from Jan/Feb - May. Now there are hiatuses in there everywhere and it's just hard to keep track of.

Btw, completely off topic - sorry - out of curiosity, did you see GG last night and did you see the Chuck/Blair scene at the end?

I did watch it, but wasn't paying *super close* attention like I usually do? I'm going to have to give it another watch later this week?

Why, what's up?

No, just wondering if you watched it because, ugh, those two as much as I try not to care what the show does with them - that scene was so good between them.

I was just curious, that's all.

It was *very* good, and I'm glad that it kind of put them to rest for now. It's not time yet for the big Push/Pull of this year, not yet :)

True, very true. Just reaffirms to me that regardless of what the show thinks, those two are integral to the show. Like when Blair said her life wouldn't be her life if Chuck Bass wasn't in it. The show wouldn't be the show either. If that makes sense. But I don't blame the guy to not want to be Chuck Bass anymore.
