Happy Thanksgiving...

Nov 27, 2009 12:07

To one, and all, international and domestic friends alike. If the day is more than just an American holiday, and really is about being thankful for your family, friends and home, I am more than thankful for all of you, dear f'listies...

And in the holiday spirit.

Whew. It's been a while since I've done one of these...

Not *very* porny, but apparently I'm warming up :)

I'll try the V/W in a bit.

****************************

He thinks about it now, more often than he cares to, less often than he cares to admit.

It’s the last good memory he has.

It might be the last good memory he will ever have.

She was gone before that, he knows that now, but even so, for that day, for that second…

For that eternity that dream lasted…

She was his.

Since they have left him, he hears his voice in his head more often. His other half. His monster.

Angelus tells him every day, how he betrayed them, how he led them all to their deaths.

Gunn, Wesley, Fred.

Most of all her.

Most of all…

But no. He doesn’t say her name. Even the monster can’t bear to say that name, and Angel wonders why that is. But to hear her name would be to hear her voice, and to hear her voice would be to see her, and to see her would be remembering how she felt, beneath him, and around him, and all through him. Even if it was only his own vivid imagination, she was his.

And it has done him no good.

Oh, very beautiful and poignant. I have recently stumbled upon Angel episodes. I've never really watched the show before, but I do love the Angel/Cordy relationship.

I need a DB icon...lol.

Oh, I watched all of BtVS and AtS in one whack because I was so fascinated with the Angel/Cordy relationship. They were really something special.

And as for DB icons...lol, you could always make a batch ;)

Haha...I guess I could. :P

Yes, I've been watching both series. I'm also fascinated with the Spike/Buffy relationship. Both very unique and different relationships that for some reason catch my attention.

Awww, break my heart, why don't you? But then they always do. "Awakening" is the one bright spot in all of season four, and yet it's so sad, too. It always makes me sad when I think of how many of Angel and Cordelia's best moments were all in Angel's head. Than you so much for this!

It sucks that they never really got their moment, but I think that's what's so beautiful and tragic about them too. Thank you for the prompt!
