Okay, so empressearwig and I got into this discussion a few weeks ago about our favorite teenage male leads of all time. It’s taken me some time to come up with a definitive list…

Weevil Navarro (Veronica Mars): A character who could be such a cliché, but Francis Capra really gave him heart and stole the show. Plus, his ridiculous chemistry with Veronica didn’t hurt…
Duncan Kane (Veronica Mars): Yes, yes, I know, I’m in a club of one (or maybe five at the max) with my love for him. But to me, he was very unique, as a teenaged boy and I can honestly say that I still haven’t seen anything quite like the depth of his love for Veronica.
Griffin Holbrook (Party of Five): Ah, mid-90’s angst, when it was all so fresh and new (to me, as a twelve-year-old). They just don’t do it that earnestly anymore (please watch to his parting speech to her.)
Matt Saracen (Friday Night Lights): And we bring it to earnest, teenaged boy angst for the 21st century…
Buck Cross (The Young Riders): Yes, I’m serious. My hidden weakness: cowboys. My not so hidden weakness: angst teenage boys. Put it together and what have you got, bibbeddy-bobbeddy-boo…Plus, are these not the most kick-ass opening credits you’ve ever seen?
Jake Jagielski (One Tree Hill): If there is any show that realistically portrays teenagers, it is certainly not OTH. But no one has ever been a sexier teenage father. (Lucas who?)
Santiago Herrera (Friday Night Lights): Does this need any explanation, considering it’s me? Fine. Big. Precious. Moments. Eyes. Shamefully, there are no clips of him that I could find. Please witness Benny Ciaramello’s amazing performance in Grey’s Anatomy.
Jordan Catalano (My So-Called Life): Oh my, you know he grew up to be the world’s biggest loser, but *this scene*…The you tube description says it all.
Diego Alcazar (General Hospital): So, I guess by now you know I have sort of a thing for Latin bad boys? He might be one of the more flash-in-the-pan characters on this list, but I will forever adore this.
