Well, my internet usage may become more regular. But, I wanted to give a quick update.
I have been working two jobs. One has ended, but I am still working the other and looking for another 'day' job. I've lost 30 lbs, but gained exactly 1 back in the last month. I look very pregnant, though. Because of the baby's position and that of the placenta, it makes me look like I have a soccer ball under my shirt.
Thus far, I have not had some of the major health complications I feared (namely, hyptertension...which was problematic during my pregnancy with Tia). I am quite nauseated, but I do not feel as bad as I did with Tia. Overall, I'm healthy so far.
That said, it is not without any complications. I had my first ultrasound on Monday (between insurance issues and the wait time to actually get into the doctor's office...). I knew something was amiss when I had been on the exam table for over an hour and my OB/GYN came in. Followed by the perinatologist. Basically, they found that the baby's brain fluid was a little over the normal range (1.13 cm when it should be somewhere between .5 and 1.0). Long story short, I got to have another amniocentesis. Which Tia decided she wanted to watch (and did...from the side they administered the needle). We will know the preliminary results on Friday and the final conclusions next Friday.
However, from what I observed (and, of course, I went through this once already), he appears to be a reactive, interactive, healthy baby boy. He has all limbs, all long bones appear strong and in his lower limbs he has two bones in each arm and leg, all toes and fingers, kidneys are formed and look good, stomach appears to be normal and his heart (all four chambers) are very strong. And, apparently, he is quite proud of his penis....lol. This was the first thing we saw quite clearly and the only one we didn't have to work for. His legs and arms put him at an older gestational age, so, he will probably be a fairly long baby, much like his older sister. I have a DVD that I will eventually upload to share.
So, that's pretty much it. I have a new cel phone (Yes, J, it's a Wisconsin number...:P), so if you see a 608...it's me :)
