Home for the Holidays
Yeah, so here I am stranded…ok not entirely stranded per se, but the thing is I’m not in Mexico. Why? Many tiny insignificant reasons, but the main one would probably be…school.
I got home around 9-ish on the 21st of December and I go back to school on the 15th…ish of January. Well my family and I always go to Mexico during that time, one problem though…we go by car. So naturally it’s going to take some time to get down to our destination. Two and a half days to be precise. So let’s calculate shall we. Going to and from Mexico will take us around six days, lets round and make it a week. Ok, so that’s one week down, that would give me about 16 days to spend down in Mexico about two weeks-ish. Now let’s take into consideration the fact that my siblings have to go back to school on the 8th of January. Well that cuts out another week now doesn’t it. That said the calculation has just decreased the number of days we spend in Mexico, to about half, meaning only one week would be spent “enjoying” the family and all. Kind of pointless don’t you think?
So instead of going to Mexico like my family does every year…I’m stuck here at the library, you guessed it…working. Oh goody, oh joy….notice my lack of enthusiasm.
Anyways, I don’t care much really, I was kind of looking forward to it, but I realized this is probably a blessing in disguise, because I need money for the semester anyways. So yeah, I’m working weird hours at the moment, and it’s kind of fun…I’m catching up on my fun reading ^_^
