At the insistence of Lindsey The Roommate, I had a very productive day. Spring cleaning has reached Phase Four in the living room, Phase Five being A Living Space That Is Hygienic And Even Somewhat Decorated To The Point That I Can Send My Mother A Picture Of It To Prove That I Don't Live In Squalor. Every time I visit my parents, they try to give me end tables and kitchen chairs. They're pretty positive the only furniture in my apartment is made of stolen milk crates with duct-taped-together sponges for cushioning. Little do they know that I have actual off-the-floor furniture, but things actually sort of match. Which is mostly because I only like to buy things that are green or orange, but still. It's a theme.

In other Bettering Of The Living Situation news, I have finally taken the christmas tree down. Lindsey and I also donated two trashbags worth of packing peanuts to a Mailboxes Etc., and a dufflebag worth of clothing to Boomerang. AND we hit Bikes Not Bombs for some parts to rectify the Bicycle Graveyard situation in the corner of the living room. I mean, the space will still be full of bikes, but it will be more like an Alive Bike Corral than a graveyard. BNB was a pretty positive experience, even though no one working there appeared to be older than eleven. In fact I think they may become my preferred bike shop, mostly because every time I go into Ferris Wheels, something awkward happens. Like I ask a question about my bike and they steal it from me and do things to it and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to pay them for what they're doing because no one speaks the entire time, and so I buy a patch kit because I don't know what else to do.

Tomorrow, productivity continues as we head to That Big Asian Market In The Sky (Quincy) in search of an acceptable wire wastepaper basket and a mesh bag. And some grown-up sized plates.

I need to buy dirt to re-pot about twelve plants, but I can never justify buying dirt. Because it's dirt.
