i’ve had these screenshots sitting around on my desktop for the longest time, so while i’m waiting for my (probably totally delayed) flight to start boarding, i might as well kill time by finally putting a story to them.

i was checking out downtown LA sometime ago on Google maps with the “hybrid” (sat+street) mode. randomly, i came across a park by the name of “stoner park”; at the time, I found it pretty amusing. i still do, actually. i came across it on june 17th.
the other item i came across was a problem in the movie “Accepted”. I came across it because facebook had this really catchy line on the homepage - something along the lines of “get accepted to the S.H.I.T ...”, and while finding such things childish, i still decided to check it out. interestingly enough, one of the main characters in the movie is also the guy who plays the “mac” in the get a mac commercials. so, obviously, he was using a mac on the set.
BUT!

look at that screen! any mac user will see immediately that it’s not a mac. the Word application is correct, sure enough. but the “scanning” program? the top-screen menu lacks the apple menu. what’s even weirder is that it appears that the “real” mac os menu is under the fake one, and their heights, if you notice, are different. come on, is it really that hard? i also wonder whether it’s even physically possible for the scanner that he uses to be used with mac os x.
you know, those people should get their facts straight.
