I agree, but disagree. I totally see what you're saying. It would certainly make sense that she should be stronger, but at the same time, I didn't really see her as weak. She was certainly morally and ethically strong and she even has emotional strength. I felt she defended herself against the Joker well in the party scene. Sure she didn't fight him, but I don't really see her as a physically strong character either. I bet she could hold herself in a fight, but it was sort of unusual. Still.. I'd really have loved to see her punch Joker. It'd have been great.
Also, the whole kidnapping thing, the point was that the Joker was messing with their heads. He wasn't there doing the kidnapping, but used someone she trusted against her, so I can't really hold that against her.
Oh and didn't she carry a taser in the first movie?
Oh and yeah, I really didn't like Katie's performance in the previous movie. It's freakish because I feel like.. like Maggie did a better job at the role, but also did a great job mimicking the feel that Katie had already created. It's sad that Katie's performance was so poor that Maggie could easily jump in and replicate it -- or we could say that Maggie rocks that hard? heh
