i went to go visit my grandfather tonight. he was saying that it's his time to go to the "happy hunting grounds." i sat there next to him, looking at his tiny, frail, depleting frame and saw 90 years just crumbling, sinking down into the little bed where he was laying. so many things happen in one single year of my life that it's hard to imagine ( Read more... )

i went with a friend to visit her grandmother in a nursing home, and it was remarkable how much age had affected her. she too had pictures of her as a young vivacious woman on the wall.

but slowly, the cancer took her away.

age is defintiely a hard thing to deal with. i have a hard enough time dealing with all the things i do in a month....
