""Ugg up at 0230 today. It was breaking dawn already. We took off at 0505, a perfect morning. We flew though a few clouds, it was beautiful. We jumped plane 5 both doors. I was 1rst stick, 6 man in the "bastard" door. I was scared at first but I settled down. It was good till Sweeny got tangled in my lines and danced on my canopy. What an experience. I did swell. Slept all day and saw "Renegades". I had already seen it. Mar came with me.""
K so this is an excerpt taken from my grandpa's diary from 1946-51...my dad and I were lookin through the garage and it was in an old box that hadn't been opened in years and years. Its my new pride possession. For one its a cool looking book. And for two my grandpa is such a cool guy. he's not dead yet..but I'm still not telling him I have this for fear he'll take it away. A little background info is he was a paratrooper who was scared of heights, but he got payed 25$ more a month for it. I'm pretty sure "Mar" is my grandma Marge. Its just so cool to read this thing because he was close to my age..and though hes going through TOTALLY different things, its cool to see how he handles it, and to see who he is now. I really felt like showing this to you nae but i have no idea what your email is. Love you.
