The Weeks of Insanity are over. I played many concerts. Some were more fun than others.
Especially interesting was Webern Symphony Opus 21. 12-tone. 7 minutes long. We played it twice. Really, really neat to play.
I played for a composer friend's graduating recital. Another piece on that program was a song cycle set to text from Dennis Lee's Garbage Delight, including Suzie Had a Moustache, which was highly entertaining.
Now I just have to get back to my own work, my own pieces for my recital. Everything has kind of been left by the wayside, as had the rest of my life. I'm still trying to put things back together after all of the crap that happened before Christmas, but if I can make it through the next couple of weeks I'll be finished with school, which will be a great relief in terms of schedule, but also terrifying in terms of real life. I'm avoiding thinking about that and just trying to hang on. I have ups and downs, some good/efficient days, some really really spectacularly bad ones. I'm coping, I guess, at least most of the time. Getting sleep will help.
