one thing that bothered me, in this really nice fic, was that "usted" is used as a formal form of you.

tu is a familiar.

"Sabes que, estoy enamorado con ti, cielito."

[you see, i'm in love with you, my little heaven]

Gabe may speak proper Spain spanish, but he's still a chill dude, and the use of the formal ALWAYS kills me.

but it was a good fic, dirty, sweet and just hot enough to make me blush.

i kind of figured as much, and that's why i'm trying not to be too much of a hard-on about it. just if you write spanish speaker gabe, see if your beta can soften the edges a bit.

it's proper spanish, that's why. grammatically, it's perfect. it's just that every spanish speaker i know uses "tu" "eres" "ti", "yo" and the like. it's just a little thing that bugs me, personally. a lot of people don't speak spanish, so it's no big. i just thought i'd let you know for future reference.

"Usted" is something used for like.. bosses, elders and people of position.
