SIR ALEX FERGUSON will spend the next 48 hours deciding whether to give Owen Hargreaves' Manchester United career a shock reprieve.
But with Hargreaves now back at the Reds' Carrington training base, Ferguson has given him a massive boost by contemplating naming him in his 25-man squad for the first half of the season.
The news will give Hargreaves a lift as he fights to cope with the pain in his knees.

Ferguson said: “It does give me a problem, but I’ve just got to wait as long as I can.”
