THE REVOLUTION
HELLO MY NAME IS TEGAN AND I AM YOUR NEW MOD. I'm 26, am basically awesome, and have just returned to Australia from a Beatles pilgrimage that took me through the USA and the UK, including two months in Liverpool. I am super excited and psyched to make this community fucking awesome, and I hope you'll help.
I swear a lot. Sozlol. If there's anything you'd like to know about me, feel free to ask. I will make a proper ~*introduction post soon.
For now, this is all you need to know about me:
THE FUTURE
My vision is for this comm to not only be active but also interactive. I'd like us to create a cute little community of Lennon-lovers where we get to know John and each other better, as well as providing a safe, supportive place for general fangirl (and fanboy) hysteria.
With the help of the mod squad (who will be introduced shortly), fun things will happen; prompted discussions, confession posts ("zomg i love jon so much i talk to him b4 bed every nite"*), possibly community competitions. Just get ready for awesome.
Please comment with so many suggestions!
So far, I gather that the community would like a more open, less restrictive style of discussion. Discussion will be open to all topics, with an emphasis on respect, debate, and learning.
The only rule I'd like to enforce is a mandatory "This contains MDC content" LJ cut to hide information that can be triggering. Maybe a "Contains general Yoko/Cyn/that snotty bitch Paul bashing" cut could also be standard? Thoughts?
Name Change?
I, for one, prefer to use the term "whore" in other contexts. ... mostly in slash fiction. I am willing to dish out the sweet cash to change the name, if the community is in agreement. If the majority is behind a name change, we can have a submissions post for suggestions and then vote on them. If not, I have no beef keeping it as-is.
