Roman Empire, Parthia, Dollar and Euro

I will repeat and extend here one my comment which I left dunno where todayJ

I think that the struggle between Roman Empire and Parthia is a quite adequate example when we speak about currency rush between Dollar and Euro.

As I’ve already told at various “places” dollar has a lot of chances to become weaker. But euro won’t get enough power to defeat dollar completely. Simply because European Union isn’t so powerful as USA.

Let’s look at the history of wars between Empire and Parthia (modern Iraq and Iran).

Parthia was a strong nation and Roman legions couldn’t get actual long term success. Roman Empire wasted a lot of manpower, money and time in these wars. But Empire was still free to do whatever it wants in other regions. On contrary Parthia had never had enough power to make decisive expansion within Roman territory though was enough strong to control (not always) the area of Tigris and Euphrates.

So, the same we have with dollar and euro.

euro, dollar, empire
