Below is the art I created for peanutandbananasandwichs fic 'Make something good out of it' for the quicky_bang here on LJ.
Thank you so much to the fic's author and the quicky_bang mods for being patient with me and understanding that I needed an extended deadline, I'm very grateful for you all being so lovely.

And here is the art I made for the story:
I made a good few attempts at making this digitally but I soon realised that I don't yet possess enough skill at painting on the computer and I re-made it all by hand. I wanted the focus to be Sam, since the fic is from his POV, and I wanted Ruby to only appear slightly, like she's worming her way in. Of course, she had to have Ruby red nails. The writer requested Sam to have bloodshot eyes and teeth marks. I used copic markers, watercolour pencils, water colour paints, black ink pens and white gel pen. I used no reference, which may have been dumb because the longer I look at it, the more faults I can see.
Anyway, the quicky_bang was fun, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants their story illustrated or wants to illustrate someone else's story with less fuss than a big bang.
