What a darkly beautiful fic!! I loved the premise of twisting canon in this way; of Dean using the magic in 'Twigs and Twin and Tasha Banes' to bring Sam back in 2.21 and for Sam to find out and want to take control, and ultimately give himself the peace he deserves.

This was wonderfully written, and you really captured the hearts and motivations of all the characters so well, plus it was a joy to see Missouri and Bobby again. I can't help but worry about Dean and where he'll from here, and how this dark magic has affected him. Thank you so much for sharing :)

In my mind, Dean was already at Singer Salvage when Sam was breaking the spell, he was just a few seconds too late and would have barged in there right after Sam was gone. I imagine he wouldn't cope so well with that, would likely run to a crossroads or back to the witch to demand, again, that Sam be brought back. Then, I think Sam would be brought back once the angels and demons realised Jake isn't the right vessel, or Dean might kill Jake out of revenge... I have too many thoughts about this considering I don't plan to write any more lol

Ah poor Dean!!! It sounds like you've put a lot of thought into what could happen to him, and all the different twisting plot lines, and thank you for sharing them. This is a wonderful fic and I really enjoyed it :)

I usually think about what happens after my one-shots, but if I write more I'll end up turning it into an entire 'verse so I try to make sure I leave it alone hehe

Yeah, this one was particularly dark. tbh I kill myself while writing them because apparently I'm unable to write anything happy and angst-free.
