Sitting on her window pane
Watching the rain
She thinks of all the friends who're dying
And she takes another swig
She thinks
"Can you die from cancer?"
But she already knows the answer
So she looks to Captain Morgan for support
No one can tell tear drops through rain drops
No one can tell gashes under jean
No one can tell black eyes through sunglasses
No one can tell what that girl has seen
What if it was her instead?
She gets a thought inside her head
Wouldn't the rain be better if she was out there?
So she climbs out onto her roof and sits
The next day, the headlines say
Teenage drinking went astray
She jumped off of her roof
And broke her neck
No one can tell tear drops through rain drops
No one can tell gashes under jean
No one can tell black eyes through sunglasses
No one can tell where her mind has been
