living with a hoarder
Why do people hoard? Why do they see such an attraction in maintaining PILES of GARBAGE throughout the house? How can someone be so meticulous about sweeping birdseed off the back porch and not care that the dining room table has been unusable for close to a decade now? How is it possible to have two windows in a bedroom and not be concerned that you can't see either one of them from the inside of the house for all the junk piled from floor to ceiling?
How much longer do we have to live like this? Should I mention the mold in the basement? Probably not. I guess that's part and parcel of the collection of 'what makes Mom happy', even if it makes every else sick, including the dog.
