Carla,
I think it's funny that you're wearing my underwear. They look really cute. You look really cute. I think the whole backtrack thing is a good one. It's like we're both a little (if not a lot) insecure in our relationship or where it may take us--it's new like it was when it was. I'm thinking so much about what I can do to make this beneficial for you- and I know the answer to this--I REALLY DO KNOW what needs to be done and I'll tell you: I need to respect you int he sense that you know waht you need and I need to understand that-I do- I'm starting to- I'm going to- I want to, I will. You probably know how stubborn I am--when I really want to do something or really need to do something I'll do it.
You're pretty, Carla Perez-and you deserve to be treated prettily. I'm sorry I haven't been doing that. I want us both to be genuinely happy-Me and you, I think deserve to be happy together. I want you to meet John, with my hand in yours. I want to see RENT. I want that apartment and those kids.
You're dangerous
because you
make my tummy
hurt.
I love you,
Emily.
Emily,
I love you and I know we can do this. It does feel fresh and new and it's a good feeling that I don't want to go away. I want this, you and me, to work so badly...I know you know what to do, which is why I have a really good feeling. I love you.
Show me the ocean
and give me the sky
you love me better
than I ever loved myself.
I love you,
Carla.
A List:
When they cleaned out her apartment , in her desk drawer the found: thirty-fve used condoms, four apple cores (browned and molding), $6.75 cents in nickels and dimes, a Penthouse magazine with the corners folded down on the most exciting pages, an emerald green address book with the phone numbers and addresses of all her clients in alpabetical order (438 clients to date), a small case filled with plastic "Easy-On" fingernails and secen tubes of lipstick in varying shades of red. There were two coupons to the discount store and fourteen reciepts to the 24-hour deli. There were mesh stockings, replacement heels, facial powder cases and five good-luck charms strung on a gold chain. Stuffed in the back of the top drawer were two travel books to Mexico and the sour smell of milk gone bad.
