Yesterday, I opened my door to find a drummer on the other side. He looked tired and hungry so I took him in. He embraced me and nuzzled into my shoulder. I couldnt help but hold him there for a moment. It was so nice to have Joey there with me. He told me that he had the day off but I didnt expect to see him at my door that early. So I pulled him in, poured coffee into him and lead him into the living room. We curled up on the couch and he drifted off. I didnt have the heart to wake him so I slipped a pillow under his head and pulled the blanket around him.
I did a bunch of stomach crunches random things while he slept. The kitchen is now clean-ish and I started reading another Jackie Susann book. He woke up a little disorientated and looked around trying to figure out where he was. Then his eyes brought his focus in my direction and something clicked. He was in my house and about a million miles away from home. I found myself searching for physical cues from him, trying to see if he still wanted to be here. A smile gives me my answer as he asks if he can take a shower. I take him up to the master bath and lay on the bed waiting for him.
After, he slips in next to me and pulls my waist close to him. Its been too long since someone has been this close to me without holding some kind of make up untensil near my eyes. We spent the rest of the day just talking. We ment to go out but with me being a motormouth him still being a little jet lagged, we never made it. I think Im going to spending some more time with him. I really need to end this rambling entry.
