"So instead, he makes a promise to himself, as he lays out fingers and lines up ankles, that he will never cut fingers off again. Whole hands, yes--but fingers are far too hard for him, he finds."
Um, silly request - could the local psychopaths display a bit more intelligence? Has Arthur ever heard of an anatomy textbook?

"France works his jaw, yawning, before his hand comes up to feel at his sunken left eyelid. His lips pull down into a frown. “Angleterre,, my eye....”

“Eh?” Arthur hesitates a moment, jabbing his needle a bit too hard. France curses and gives England an image of his own fingers clenched around white bloodshot jelly, the iris so blue it hurt his eyes. “Oh, right. I, um, think I ate it.”

“You what!?”

“I was hungry, you great ponce!”"
Ark. You're a horrible woman. Not for the reason you might be expecting to hear, though...

Was the TRC reference intentional? XP

So, I suppose the nations are so desensitized (or bloodthirsty) that they cut each other up for fun and just to feel something? That's an interesting take... wonder what it translates to on the international level.

...Should I be saying something? I don't know. I feel that the mixing of sex with gore is more for the shock value than for any titillation, and, as such, I don't think there's much point to commenting on it... Emotionally? It's a bunch of deadened and desensitized people disemboweling each other - what is there to say? And...

"“Oh, please--none of us were ever children.” And England knows France’s face well enough that he can see that France believes that--every single bit of him. From France’s small, too-young hands learning just where to touch and please, to his insides, all ripped apart and messy and knotted with conquests--"
Why is France special in this regard? England got it just as bad from the Romans back in the day, and since then, he's been in oodles of conflicts with France and Spain and has had the shit bombed out of him in WWII, to name just the things I can recall offhand. And before that, he was a bunch of warring tribes. And he's had fun tiemz with civil wars, too...

Sorry, you're probably not interested in history!wank.

I also feel odd about Arthur suddenly getting all conscience-prone after cheerfully tearing Francis apart. (Hmm - again, France is France, England is randomly Arthur and England. Any reason for this?) Um... chap, not consistent on the sensitivity, much? You... just finished messily ripping apart his insides, you know.

...Why am I writing these comments? Well... because I wanted to comment on these fics, I guess. Make up for lost time. At the same time, though, I feel like I would just be wasting your time if I just said 'Creepy' or 'Scary' or 'Brutal', so... I'm trying to leave concrit. I am bad at it. But... someone ought to, I guess. Let you know that these stories have been read. And... maybe gather enough closely-read data points that I can tell you honestly where you need improvement`and what you do well.

It's occurred to me by now that you really may not appreciate these fics' existence being acknowledged, and that this perhaps wasn't the best thing to do (I said I have a time-delay on 'Is this a good idea?' readings :\), but... this is part of you, too... and you put effort into it. It should be acknowledged, even if for critique.

I don't think any less of you for these fics, if you're wondering. This is a different side of your writing abilities... darker, but not necessarily worse.
