Wow, so tired this morning. This week I've been rather bad at maintaining a decent sleep schedule. Going to bed at 11 PM when you have to get up at 4 AM is so not a good idea. I can already predict that this will lead to two things:
- I'm working out less frequently/intensely in the morning cause I'm dead tired.
- The more sleep I lose during the week, the more hours I have to make up over the weekend during my off time. *sigh*

I'm taking off half the day tomorrow to go get new contacts and glasses lenses. Maybe if I get the D&D stuff planned out today, I can go home and nap before the session starts tomorrow afternoon. Argh.

We typically start playing around 7 or 8 PM, and play until midnight. However if I'm lacking sleep, I'll certainly be dropping out around 10. And when the DM falls asleep, the game pretty much ends.

In other news, I had mistress_kabuki read over the first chapter of Suzie's Nightmare yesterday, and she really liked the scene and the perspective I'd taken. So I think I'm going to settle on that. It's amazing that it takes a while to come up with a good first chapter, but when you're dealing with a book that could end up around 100,000 words you want to catch the reader's attention, and get your major characters explained smoothly. I'm really looking forward to getting more writing done on this piece. Now that "Against My Better Judgment" is drafted out, I can start focusing my writing attentions to the novel completely.

Here's my writing to-do list:
1) Edit "Against My Better Judgment". Due Aug 31st.
2) Edit "Short of a Dark Lord". Due Sept 10th.
3) Edit "The Daimon Within". Due Sept 25th.

writing, d&d
