So far it's been quite a fun but busy weekend, not that I'm very surprised. On Thursday,
mistress_kabuki had her Capstone Presentation to make. Overall I thought it was pretty neat. Most of the speakers spoke of their fictional stories or poems, then mixed in were the three people who did technical writing or composition & rhetoric like her. Honestly I felt as though those three people should have had a different showcase, simply because it felt like a completely different mindset switching gears from one to another. But I guess since the department is rather small that it is easier to do for the professors.
Friday we had a pretty awesome D&D session.
elven_faelwen got some new poisonous armor addition which makes it so that when an enemy misses her with a melee attack they take ongoing poison damange. And she got a saddle for Faensul that is an at-will immediate interrupt where she can choose to half the damage between herself and her horse. Very nice to have, especially since the poor horse almost died a few weeks ago! We also found out about familiars, which were introduced in the latest Arcana book. I'd really like to make my cat Fael into my familiar, but I'll have to wait and see the details of it all.
godoffej only got the book that day, so he didn't have a chance to review it yet.
Today I've just been plain lazy, I'll admit it. I've felt rather crappy yesterday and today, so it was nice to have a break. I played on CoV for a bit earlier today, played in the Architecture Edition pact and gained like 2 or 3 levels for Harvey Double-Shot over the past two days. Oh! And I redid Harvey's outfit, though I don't have a cap for it at the moment. I'll try to add one though in the next couple of days. ^_^
I've been playing around on my new laptop a bunch and took the opportunity to purchase World of Goo and the Orange Box on Steam. I've never played Team Fortress 2, or Half Life 2, or even Portal -- so this should be interesting...
I also read
thunderatiger's latest fiction that has a conversion between Legolas and Gimli during their stop in Galadriel's home.
Beyond the Mountain Passes is a pretty awesome story, and if you're into LotR stuff, all of Thundera's work is definately a must.
