A blessing...

Tonight, as I was standing in the circle during our preference ceremony, looking at all the faces of the girls surrounding me, and listening to the words of the ceremony, it hit me. I love these girls and this sorority with all of my heart. While I knew and acknowledged that previously, it was tonight that I realized how truly important to me Delta Zeta is. It's where I have found my family. They are the girls that I run to with exciting news, the girls that run to me with open arms as I cry on their shoulders, the girls that laugh with me, cry with me, and are always, always going to be there no matter what. Never before have I felt as secure in a friendship relationship as I feel now. Which I guess is why I call these girls my sisters. Some may laugh, some may ridicule, but it is not a term we take lightly. Each and every girl truly is a sister to me, and I would do anything for them. They have been there for me through some tough times when others ignored it and turned the other way. Without their love and support, I know I would not be at UWEC today. And so, as I looked around me and saw the faces of the girls who may be Delta Zetas tomorrow, I got goosebumps. I cannot wait to share with them what has been given to me. I love you girls with all my heart, and I am proud to be able to call you my sisters.
