Send good vibes for dad....
It's been a loooonnngg 3 weeks here for dad. He came for his routine check-up with small complaints of shortness of breath and loss of energy. We ended up checking him into the hospital so that he could get fluid drained from his lungs yet again. His immune system wasn't up to par so we had to wait 6 days till it was, and until the doc's schedule freed up to perform another surgery on him. This time they would drain the fluid, then spray the inner cavity of his lungs with talcum powder which would swell his lungs, then after draining again, would hopefully create a barrier from fluid building again. It was not fully succesful. The doc went in again to repeat the procedure on the left lung which has not shown any improvement.
Some of you on other sites have written some pretty horrible things about me and comments on why I haven't looked for work....well take a good look at yourself in the mirror. I might've taken some time off to travel but I have never forgotten my responsibility to my family. You will NEVER know what it's like to see a family member have so much life in his heart and in his mind, but not be able to execute any of his dreams because his body would not keep up. Life is unfair, and it's always the good ones that get dealt the bad hand. For the past 2 days I have not been able to visit him at UCLA. I have caught a small cold, and am not allowed to see him. My little sniffle, could potentially kill him....
Please keep good energy in your minds, hearts, and prayer for him as I so selfishly request.
It is times like these when I remeber the quote: If you knew the world was going to end tomorrow, who would you call and what are you waiting for?
