Heartbroken...?

I'm having difficulty interrelating God with falling in love and homosexuality...

I've been struggling with it for a while but I don't quite know what to say, ask, feel.

I keep saying to myself that falling in love shouldn't be a sin, regardless of whether your chosen partner is of the same sex or not.

And then, I keep wondering if it is at all relevant anyways. As far as I know, love as great as an emotion as it is, couldn't possibly last forever. Not romantic love in any case.

No, surely it's just an illusion that we create for ourselves to make our lives seem that little bit less bleak.

So really, if love is nothing but a way to make ourselves feel better then surely, it's irrelevant whom you chose to spend your life with.

On that same note, if it doesn't matter who we chose to sleep with, then at least, we should be conscious of the fact that we need to continue human kind...

Though why populating the Earth - when we're complete arse-wipes, intent on killing each other anyway - is an imperative, is something that escapes me.

This only brings me back to the point about God. As of so many times as I try to figure out how I should view God and understand what he has tried to teach us. To me, it only makes sense that God is love.

Every Christian that I have met is ever so proud to shout if from the roof tops. God is love and God forgives. In that same breath, they are quick to assign blame, accuse sinners and condemn the world at large.

Thinking, by that same respect, that by adding "oh I am a sinner too" with the most aplomb and self-righteousness as they can dribble, then they can be forgiving about their own misdeeds because they believe that Gods is on their side. Just them, no one else, coz they are so bleeding above the rest of us.

I believe in God... I just... don't know if I'm essentially condemning myself to a life of hell just because I refuse to hate sinners on principle, on the grounds of their sexual preferences

From what I understand, and goodness that is a statement on itself coz I'm not that bright at all; but still, from what I understand and this is only taking the Bible into account, is that compared to everything that it is taught in the Bible... people seem to focus on the negative.

In what I see, which in the main emphasis of Christian argument is that there are two passages against homosexuality. Out of an entire book: Two passages. Yet, the fact that advocating love and peace and being a neighbour is a constant throughout the Bible seems to escape the majority of them.

Not failing to mention that we are told not to freaking Judge!

In the Bible, it says that God knows us before we are even born. Yet somehow we know best.

Homosexuality can't be a surprise to God, he created us. Logically and with love.

I believe, but it's so hard with this chosen topic, coz unless God steps down and says it himself, (a point that is redundant, coz Jesus did come down to Earth and he was prosecuted) then we can't know entirely; anyway, I believe that a lot of God's teachings are in the Bible, but he's made us with the ability to think for ourselves and he's given us the necessary guidelines to follow.

They are called the 10 commandments.

It is also irrefutable to argue that yes, the Bible was written by man and it has been changes and doctored accordingly --by man-- but most importantly, it is being read by man.

And this is where my problem lies. Everyone has their own interpretation of what they read and want to believe. I don't want to go against God but how do I know if I'm going in God's favour or my own?

I just don't want to displease God.

life as it is
