Well,
As time goes by and I consistently fail at finding a new (or at least a second) job, I get slowly more and more stressed. The good news is my stomach is feeling a lot better. The bad is that it's getting harder and harder to get up in the morning, even factoring in how late I've been staying up.
Not all is bad, of course. I got to spend some quality time with the roomie tonight, just the two of us which was rare and nice.
Now, we do spend a lot of time in the same apartment, even a lot of time in the same room, but it's not often that we really hang out together. Tonight after we both got home from work, we headed out to Fil's Diner (great little place, with an awesome waitress who still remembers me after months) and had dinner and a long conversation.
Getting home, we turned on Doctor Horrible for another watch-and-cry. I swear I watch that show once every couple weeks. I'm a sucker for musicals, especially cheesy ones, and for Joss Whedon.
If you haven't seen it, "Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" is a short, three-piece internet show that was created during the writer's strike. As far as I know, it's only available to stream in the US, but it's easy to find for download.
The story is awesome, I would recommend it to all, from my roomie, to my weirder friends, to my mother (who loved it too).
I also finished a recent knitting project, self designed on the fly. A simple cotton bag with a hole in the side, to hold our fruit. We have a small kitchen and have been keeping it in plastic bags nailed to the wall under some upper cupboards, but the netted bag seems like it will work far better.
I can't help but think the fact that Doctor Horrible makes me want to cry says something odd about me.
