That's right. There are people out to cure HIV and feed the hungry. Speedo, however, just wants ot make the fastest swimsuit ever..does this make anyone else twitchy?
In other news, I just learned about a group called RAM (Remote Area Medical) They operate on a skin and bones budget and bring medical care to people around the world.
According to the random news report I saw yesterday, they're now conducting about 60 per cent of their operations in the USA, helping out the working poor and chronically underinsured.
Now, I'm not usually one to wave our socialist-style universal health care around, it has enough problems of its own after all..but at least we all get the same level of doctor shortages and wait lists (theoretically of course. Lets not get into those buying black market kidneys just now).
You know, sometimes I really like the random-news-channel game my roomies play.
