Anyway, I'm sitting here working on an assignment that, technically, was due last night. I'm not particularly worried, it being for marketing. Marketing means I have no idea what exactly is expected of me, or how to format the finished product, so it's really been a whole semester of winging it anyway.
Today's assignment, the final one, is to create a marketing plan for a website I had to create for another class (a third assignment was to create advertising material: posters, business cards and banner ads. I hate banner ads).
The website itself was handed in last night. Given the choice of creating a promotional site for a company or one for myself I chose the latter, it being the most straightforward of the two options. Said site can be found at www.algonquinstudents.com/hoga0060/profile/index.html Quite the URL for a simple site, I know.
It's also not completely finished, as told by the large amounts of lorem ipsum (the latin-looking gibberish) but given time constraints I chose to cut it off when I had all the required elements for the assignment.
A word of warning however. I created the site using a mac laptop and, looking at it for the first time on my PC, have discovered that macs and PCs look at colours in a completely different manner. I swear It's not nearly as neon and mint on my laptop. Really it's quite obnoxious..I should see how it looks on IE.
In the good news classes are over til January and I'm almost over this cold (it's been almost a month). My immune system seems to be pretty much shot right now what with the cold coming an going over the past few weeks and some sort of eye infection. I don't see why all this sick couldn't have waited until I was done classes and had time to rest.
Other than that, I'm sticking in Ottawa for the holidays, I'll be spending Christmas with the BF and his family, which will be odd. If anyone could tell me of a good program for macs that will let me set up to teleconfrence it would be much appreciated.
