New Beginning

Mar 04, 2004 08:21

Well, today I'm finishing my initial training to be a stay-at-home salesperson, and I really feel like this could be a new beginning in a lot of ways. So, I'm committing to keeping up my entries in this journal.

One of the things I like about this new job is the software program to keep track of things. It doesn't matter if my memory is fading, because the software keeps it for me. As long as I remember to log in all my phone calls, emails, etc. the program will remind me to call people, tell me what we need to talk about etc. I had read an article a year or two ago that said people were losing their memory capability because PDA's and electronic calendars were remembering for them, but I don't care. My memory for details is already gone, so hooray for salesforce.com!

I am also committed to getting healthier. It was so sad to see Dave's mom failing these last few years because of her smoking. Yet, I have jeopardized my own health and well-being due to poor eating and exercise. The excuse has always been the travel, and I won't have that excuse now. We only get so much time on the planet, so why not be as healthy as possible? There's an old saying about people "digging their graves with their teeth" - I don't want to do that.

So, Spring is coming, and I'll keep you posted!
