I've finally started considering getting a DSLR. This will involve a huge step-up in features from my film SLRs, as they are both manual-focus ... i got them in high school and college, and i put all my money into good lenses, not features on the camera bodies.
My hands-down favorite lens to work with on my SLRs is my 50mm lens, but unfortunately, while i could get a camera body to take that lens, unless i spend ~$5K for a full-frame sensor DSLR (not happening), it won't 'act like' a 50mm lens on a DSLR. I don't have a nice fast 30mm lens, which is roughly the equivalent on most DSLRs to my current 50mm. Poked around online for a while, determined the body and lens i'd like to get, and, well, for that amount of money, i can develop and scan quite a lot of film.
And so yesterday I was shooting with my film SLR. I haven't touched my SLRs in years, actually, and perhaps this is a better thing, that I shoot some film, and convince myself that I'll *use* an SLR again before spending the $$ on a whole new setup.
