Does your roommate have a lot of add-ons? (Depending on the add on FF3 may be a curse or blessing. I don't use nearly as many add ons that I used to use in FF2).

Is your roommate using a mac and running OS 10.3.9 or earlier? Then no. FF3 does NOT run on Panther (10.3). Tiger (10.4) and Leopard (10.5)? FF3 works just fine.

But let your roommate know that Mozilla will stop supporting and running updates to 2.0.0.18 mid-December this year.

I was really sorry to hear about your puppy - I hope you're able to find another place/landlord and that you'll find another companion *hugs*

*hugs* will do - she has the FF3, we both have vista home premium package, and I don't know why it likes to shut down on her... I figure I'll update when I can't get mine to work anymore :)
