white chalk hills will rot my bones

Justin's spring break is coming up, so for a change of pace we'll be driving down through New Mexico, to White Sands and Carlsbad Caverns.  We both need to get out of here for a few days, and the hiking will sure do me some good.  I'm not gaining weight or anything, but I am out of shape, and the little bit of errand-walking I do just ain't cutting it.

Yesterday I made gluten-free cornbread, and today I made gf strawberry muffins.  I also made a truck out of Sculpy to send my baby brother for his 16th birthday, which I unfortunately didn't think to take pictures of before packing it to send to him.  It turned out pretty well--meaning that when you look at it you can tell it's a pickup truck.  That's what he gets for telling me he wanted a long-bed Toyota pickup for his birthday present.

I really need to go to bed.  It just figures that the one night my insomnia isn't keeping me up, it's that brutal, abrupt, completely unreasonable feeling of utter starvation you get several hours after eating a small but (at the time) filling dinner.  The kind of hunger that gnaws at your stomach until you force yourself unwillingly out of bed, then is sated with a few handfuls of pretzels.  Gah.  Is there somewhere you can write to order a new digestive tract?  "God, this one is defective and I'd like my money back."  Yeah.

It's late.  Go to bed.
