Anyone with any knowledge of the Slavic and Scandinavian/Germanic languages, or the respective mythologies:  are the terms Nepra (name for the personified river Dnieper/Dnepr) from Russia and Nerthus/Nerthys as recorded in the Germania by Tacitus as a Germanic deity possibly related?  I haven't got enough lore on Mother Nepra to go on, so comparing right now to what Tacitus says (his is the only record of the goddess Nerthus) seems pretty pointless.  Any good sources on Slavic lore?  That's sort of a general question as well:  are there any good sources on Slavic mythology, at all?  I can't get hold of any if there are.

I need to be able to get on the third floor of the CSU library, but it's closed for construction.  They're building a giant glass box on the central part of campus as a 'study' section for the library.  I just want to get to the fucking books and maybe not get lost in the maze of relocated shelves, construction equipment, and plywood.
