*Ah-HHHHEM!*
Oh! I have the most wonderful news! I've found it, found it at last! THE painting, the one to grace my office walls and illuminate the room again!
All the talk of that exhibition at our local gallery last night truly inspired me; my thoughts moved to art and all that is beautiful, and on the purest of whims I attended an auction this morning with the missus.
And lo, there it was! This!
BEHOLD!
The bold colors of the cowboy and his horses! The vibrant hues of the leaves! The very detail of the bark on the trunks of those trees! Finally, a worthy replacement for the previous piece that stood proudly in my office for over two decades!
I must say that I paid a most extravagant price for this work. I was so very moved by it! And it was worth every penny! Thank you, Ms, Andrews, for inspiring me to step out to the auction this morning--otherwise I would have never found it!
I had to get Abigail to take a photo of it right away, and to transcribe this entry for me immediately. [It wasn't any trouble at all, sir. Really.] However, I'm sure that the photo will not capture the piece's full grandeur--not at all. And so, if you wish to come bask in its presence, all of you are welcome to my office to do so!
