Usually on New Years Eve I go out and party, but this time I had more fun just staying at home. This is my Dad's first New Years alone, since him and my Mom divorced back in August. So I cooked him and my boyfriend Chris dinner, and all three of us sat around and watched movies and joked around. It's one of those things, where you just don't want your Dad to be alone, and I knew he appreciated it more than words could express.
Of course, when he went to bed, Chris and I went out to some friend(s) house and a hung out, but I didn't stay long. Too tired; I'm so use to getting up early and going to work and then going to sleep early too.
Speaking of which, I love my family more than ever. My Dad's side of the family is filthy stinking rich, which aggravates me sometimes, but now I appreciate their high status. My Uncle got me a job at his company (Ford), which is awesome. And he and his family took my Dad and I out to eat at O'Charley's, I sat and talked with my cousin Amanda the whole time and we all just joked around. We got there between 6-7, and didn't leave till almost 10.
I've got a lot to appreciate now, and so I hope that this new year is better than 2005. I've got an awesome boyfriend, he thinks the world of me, and his 1 year old son (will be 2 in March) who calls me "ma ma". I'm slowly, but surely getting my health back after a whole bunch of treatment. I "lurve" my Megan. And I'm saving up to go visit my best friend in Florida this summer.
Anyhoo, Happy New Year everyone!
