KOUSAKA TOMOMI
Age: 15
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Dark blond
In a Nutshell: Bonkers, but sweet. Randomly lucid.
Family: Ryouta (brother), Sugoroku (uncle), Kazumi (aunt), Satoko (mother, deceased), father unknown
Bio: Being the illegitimate child of a political figure’s wife, she was isolated deep inside the Kousaka compound and had very little human contact. Because of this isolation she suffers several mental disorders and traumas. When the compound was ravaged by bandits, she was kidnapped. Those that knew of her existence were too afraid to rescue her, otherwise no one knew of her. Ryouta retrieved her, but the bandits were already dead when he got there. It is unknown what happened. Upon moving to Kaede’s village, she became unusually attached to InuYasha and Kagome, and slips farther and farther away from Ryouta.
KOUSAKA RYOUTA
Age: 20
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
In a Nutshell: Modest, hard-working, polite and patient, but has a temper and backbone that are most fearsome. Nearly has a sister complex.
Family: Tomomi (sister), Sugoroku (uncle), Kazumi (aunt), Satoko (mother, deceased), Shinohara (father, deceased)
Bio: Though he was primarily groomed for court, when he discovered his half-sister hidden in the Kousaka compound, he found every excuse he could to visit her. Though at first horrified by her blond hair, he was more disgusted with the way she was treated. He tried to teach her various things, but she seemed more content to stare, unmoving, into the garden when he visited. When the compound was ransacked, he was injured, but looked for Tomomi as soon as he was able. Upon finding her, they moved to a small village with their distant aunt and uncle, where he hoped he’d be able to help her. At first taken advantage of by their relatives, Sugoroku realized his folly and granted Ryouta the time he needed to take care of Tomomi. He's not quite himself, and quite docile after the fire.
MITSUO SHIGERU
Age: 26
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
In a Nutshell: Pompous, spoiled, and self-assured, but means well.
Family: Extensive family elsewhere.
Bio: After being granted an audience with the emperor, Shigeru obtained an insultingly small (for a noble) property near Kaede’s village where he could raise his own horses. If he can breed a certain number of acceptable warhorses for the emperor in three years, he will be given a position at court and a better title for his family. Shigeru graciously accepted the challenge, though it was essentially impossible. His family granted him a decent number of breeding horses, as well as Aki and Tatsuya, both of whom were considered by the family as trouble-making embarrassments, despite their skills. Trying to break one of the horses shortly after moving, he fell and broke several ribs, requiring medical attention from Kaede and Kagome. Upon meeting the younger priestess, he decided to woo her.
NORIKAZU TATSUYA
Age: 20
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
In a Nutshell: Puts on a brave, strong, front, but is actually very gentle.
Family: All but father (Akira) deceased, and Akira is very old.
Bio: When she was young, she was intended to marry into the Mitsuo family. Before she was to be cloistered, though, she loved playing with the horses and so spent a lot of time with them, and subsequently Shigeru. One day a new horse was brought in for Akira to break (since he was the best) and it got away from the stable hands. Tatsuya saved Shigeru from being trampled by the horse, but in the process of trying to scare off the horse, whipped herself and suffered a glancing kick. She recovered, but was scarred, and the plans for her marriage were truncated. Since then she has raised and trained horses for the Mitsuo family. She followed Mitsuo to his small piece of land near Kaede’s village.
