Rogue ran her hands along Gambit's skin, feeling the pull of her powers as she drained him of whatever energy he had left. Her mutation rose to the surface, and she was forced to pull away to gain control of the psyches who pounded against their cages, the swirling mass of Remy's power entwining with hers enough to waken them from their silent sleeping-state. Sighing, she kissed him goodbye, pulled back, and walked out the door, pretending that the desire he had for her wasn't making her heart pound or making her wish, even for just a second, that she could have been another of his one night stands.
