[Action]

[Today, if you're out wandering about town, you will likely spot... tiny snowmen. They're fairly simple: two balls of carefully packed snow stacked on top of each other, with little sticks for arms, and pebbles for the eyes and smiling mouths. They're scattered... well, everywhere around the village, usually in groups or pairs ( Read more... )

[Walking around town some more. He has pineapples and orange juice from the grocery store and should be heading home, but he's been getting very distracted.]

What's this? [Eight foot skeleton will stare at a snowman before noticing some of the others] Ah, there's so many! What a sight!

Do you like them?

[Yay! People not screaming makes it so much easier to have a conversation]

Oh yes! Did you make them all?

Most of them! I've had a little help, here and there.

Ah, very nice! [Admiring this one some more] I think I should like to make one! It's been quite some time since I've been able to enjoy snowy weather like this!

I think you should! It's really fun. Haha, this is the first time for me, actually... Port Island didn't get any snow.

Neither did the Florian Triangle! [Bending down to gather some snow] I don't recall having seen any while I was there, anyways. [Then again, it was fifty years]

[Rolling the snow around now] So you hail from Port Island, you say? Whereabouts is that?

Well, Port Island is an artificial island in Japan... it's part of the city Iwatodai. I moved there to attend school.

[Ryoji goes back to his work. It appears that he's finished rolling his own pieces and is preparing to stack three little snowmen.]

I see. When you said it was an island, I'd almost thought that perhaps you were from the same world as I - there are many islands on the Grand Line, after all! I'm afraid I've never heard of those places, however.

[Not that he's disappointed; he'd just been curious. He finishes one ball of snow - it's pretty lumpy] Did they not have a school in the place you moved from?

That's too bad... the name of my world is Earth.

Ah, well... [As he speaks, he starts stacking the snowmen.] There were schools. But I wanted to attend Gekkoukan.

[Mun has no idea if they call the OP world Earth or not[

It must be a prestigious place then! [Making a second ball of snow]

Yeah! It was such a pain to transfer in... but it was worth it, I think. [Stacking, stacking... oh, this one is a little crooked. Time to straighten it!]

[The second ball of snow may just be lumpier than the first when he finishes it] Excellent! What sort of subject matter do they teach there?

[Ryoji pauses in his construction, blinking. ... what did they teach at Gekkoukan again?] Uh, well... they taught... school things! Like -- ... math! And English! And history! And sometimes Mr. Edogawa would come in and teach us about magic... but I'm not sure if that was part of the official curriculum or not.

[Brook lifts the second mound of snow to place it atop the first, then looks at Ryoji excitedly] You were taught magic? Are you a magician then?
