It's Star Trek, Jim, but not as we know it

So, about that new Star Trek movie they're bringing out next month...

I'm especially curious about the reactions of Pine, Quinto, et al. to the last sentence.

Bizarro, indeed. *snort*

Somehow the premise doesn't bother me as much as the ugliness of the actors.

Agreed! Those guys might be supposedly sexing up Trek, but I think the originals like Mr Vulcansexypants sexed it up juuuuuuust fine. Well, without the actual pr0n... of course.

You know, I have to wonder why this never happened before now! I mean, Trek's been around a long time. Still, hilarious.

It has, I believe. I'm reliably informed that there are several Trek pr0n flicks in existence. Let's see if I can Google up a link...

Here we go. Check out the character names. Oh, dear.

Years ago, in the age of ST fanzines, I read Heinlein's "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" where his computer hero creates the first CGI, one that was indistinguishable from reality and realized that eventually CGI could be used by fanfic writers to create their own movies. That's what I'm waiting for not some porn movie disguised as ST.

LOL! Wonder if Paramount will try and have it squashed.

I doubt it - there are already existing Sex Trek films. The timing - i.e, on the same day as the new movie - is pretty hilarious though.
