Fully aware that much of what I post is stuff no-one wants to know, I nevertheless post this, knowing that LiveJournal is geared towards people who want to tell things that no-one is willing to listen to and that I am one of these people.
----
So I've been making things.
I think it's in avoidance of doing revision (you know, so I can ignore the fact that - actually - I know stunningly little about Chemistry)
Actually. It's definitely in avoidance of revision.
And - in the quiet, petty revenge of the bitter sixthformer, so very hating the last years of school - Poppy and I (and Zoe) have been using art room supplies to screenprint t-shirts.
Guys. I am an awesome screenprinter. My GCSE painting skills were not so hot. My sketching took ages and was temperamental, but my printing (lino, collography and screen) are topnotch. I could pretty much give Warhol and Lichtenstein a run for their money.
(Well, no, I couldn't because they were Print-Kings and they have lots of money.)
(Or maybe, actually, cos they are both several years dead.)
Anyway, this is the only finished t-shirt I have - a print of Stephen Fry. I have worn it out a total of twice, I love it. (Please do not feel uncomfortable that the close-up of Stephen is also an indirect close-up of my boobs - especially since it is quite clear that I am lacking rather in the boobal area.)
I have also been making mix-tapes, which is an art-form I have pretty much stolen off Poppy, using magazine pictures as covers and writing tracklistings on my dad's business cards.
Two for my car, and one as a surprise gift to Emily - who, as many of you do not know - is a friend with whom I have travelled to school every morning for the past seven years and have a strange friendship based on persistence and apathy. I think she sees me as a sort of odd and lovable scamp and I do not dislike this enough to set her right.
After we go on study leave and leave school in a relatively soon time, it is highly likely we will never see each other again out of choice. So I made her a chilled-out tape - cos she's a relatively highly-strung person - for nostalgia and study-leave-calming purposes. I'm so fucking thoughtful.

Ladybird Winner:
(I would like to add that I have a big hate for ladybirds, since they always come into my bedroom in masses around this time of year. In recent weeks, I have twice had to evict a ladybird from my bed when I've tried to go to sleep and it is horrible, horrible, horrible.
Had it not been for the fact that this particular tape cover won a photography competition in the Guardian and therefore has the word, "Winner" printed underneath it, I would not have used it. As it stands, however, it is blatantly clear that this one word is the sole thought in the male ladybird's head as it performs its disgusting act of producing more ladybirds.)

Today, I also watched a wasp that has been trapped on our windowsill for the past two days. I do not know why it has not figured out how to leave the windowsill, but today it was dancing to Patty Griff's "Chief" as I played it on the hifi. I'm pretty sure it's dying - but what a way to go.
