So!
Been having a decent week, due in no small part to my awesome amigos. Last Wednesday a few of us ate at Freebirds in the Arlington Highlands. I admit that place isn't as bad as I thought it was.. Afterwards we wandered over to boarders and killed time reading books and chatting and getting coffee until they closed. With nothing else to do we migrated to a bench in the middle median walkway section and literally spent a couple hours out there just goofing around.. We wrestled, danced, worked the pole and just had a crazy good time out there... There's even video of me on the light pole and the kids wrestling. I have hope that never gets out thought.
I have to say though, my performance was inspired by Samantha's tease in the Sex and the City's 80's montage scene in the extended cut. So much so that I dreamed I was doing the same routine. That makes three times seeing it, and I have a feeling I'll be viewing again in the coming week. It's pure comfort for me to see gals together again.
About a week ago I caught Quarantine. It was actually a decent horror/zombie flick that gave enough to leave you pondering and wanting more. It reminded me a little bit of Cloverfield, which I saw last night after Pei Wei and starbucks. Except for the fact that I was left a little underwhelmed. The concept was an interesting one but main character was an idiot and made stupid decisions for the whole film.
I need to get back to cleaning. My friend Patrick is coming to visit tomorrow from Kentucky for 5 days. But very quickly I took this quiz and thought the results actually described me a bit well:
