Then you should get your hands on some issues of Thor: The Mighty Avenger, drawn by Chris Samnee and colored by Matthew Wilson. There is an insane amount of woobly and D'AWWW to be had, not to mention those delicious inks and colors! Best of all, the series isn't tied into any continuities, so you don't need to know anything about the characters. Just read and enjoy (and try to ignore the niggling feeling in the back of your head if you've read actual Norse mythology before).
