So the BBC has re-made Upstairs, Downstairs, huh? Is it good? Looking at the cover art for the DVD I'm wondering how it would work. The whole reason the original did was due to its setting. Edwardian made sense. The gentry never really went downstairs, and the servants only ever went upstairs to serve, and though the show did plod along through the following decades, it was due to where it started that we all kept watching. But this looks set in the what? Late 30's? Sort of Rebecca era, which was when the original series started to go downhill. Seems a weird place to start it, really.

I dunno. I haven't even seen an ep, yet. I guess I just get a little annoyed when things get redone when the original wasn't even broken.
