*fans face furiously*

Okay, I'm not a very girlie kind of girl. Growing up with brothers will do that to you. However, sometimes I can be taken by surprise at the innate girliness when it decides to raise its head. Like it did about half an hour ago.

Ever experienced meeting and conversing with someone who looks exactly like another person you admire/have a crush on? How weird that feels?

Yeah. I just had a man walk into work today, who looked, talked, and even moved like David Burke's Dr. Watson.

(For those not in the know, he's the guy on the right)

Now I'm all flushed and breathless and too damned girlie. I have such huge admiration for the fictional character of Watson. He's a damn good one, and very well-written by both ACD and a great deal of fabulous other authors (apart from in the 7% solution. I got very, very angry with that Watson). So, seeing a man, who looks exactly like a man who embodied him so well was... well, my stupid girliness went: "Hello! Man you have a crush on! Blush now!"

I tried really hard not to stare but I'm not sure I was all that successful.

Stupid feminine associative way of thinking. Grrrr. -_- That poor man probably didn't know what to make of me. I don't know what to make of me. It made absolutely no sense whatsoever!

status: dear god whats wrong with me, actor: david burke, emoting: oh dear god someone stop me
