8 1/2. That's the number of days until I am married. How does that happen? It seems like just yesterday we set the wedding date and were saying "We have a whole year to plan, let's not worry about that!" And now it's almost here. Surreal. I couldn't be more excited.
I'm interrupting this subject for a special update. "The Office" is supposed to be on right now, but instead, NBC is updating about the brush fire sweeping across Naples. Ok, it's bad. We get it. People are evacuating. We got it. Can we see Jim now?
Anyway. Wedding. I'm picking up my newly-altered dress tomorrow. Very nervous. I leave for Pittsburgh on Sunday so if the dress is completely wrong, there's really nothing that can be done. So I'm hoping and praying and hoping some more that it is absolute perfection and you can't see my feet poking out from underneath.
[Seriously. "The Office." Please.]
We've been getting presents already and, even though we registered for them all so we obviously wanted them, we're super excited and loving them all. I'm especially loving the microwave because Rob hates them and so wouldn't let me get one when we moved. The only thing I was even more excited about was the KitchenAid Mixer because there is nothing better. I immediately wanted to mix and bake.
I checked Pittsburgh's forecast for June 7. 82 and sunny. Amazing. All I've been hearing about is the cold and rain and cold rain, so I was a little nervous. I love when my city pulls through for me. Speaking of Pittsburgh - I am so excited for my busy week there before the wedding. Pampering: my mom set up a massage and a nail appointment for me. Girl's Night Out: Sarah, my mom, and I are going to The Cheesecake Factory. Sarah and I are then going to enjoy some cocktails and Sex & The City [!!!]. Pirate Game: My dad got 12 tickets to Thursday's game. Then the Rehearsal dinner, lots of family... can't wait.
And almost as exciting as getting married? All-inclusive resort in Jamaica. Yes!
Okay. Enough gushing.
Time for me to get tired enough to join Rob in bed.
By the way, they never got around to showing "The Office," but I did learn that the fire is still aflame and people are still evacuating. So that's new. Pshaw. Good thing "Will & Grace" saved me.
Goodnight, loves. ♥
