It is after the first night they have sex that everything seems to change.
The color of Takeru’s eyes darkens, becomes deeper and easier for Daisuke to climb into. The proximity of their hands narrows and soon Daisuke feels unsettled if Takeru isn’t within reach of his searching grasp.
Takeru stops blushing when Daisuke sees him naked. He becomes used to the roaming eyes on his body, coming to anticipate their journey over his skin and welcome the warmth that follows soon afterward.
Hikari notices the change in their behavior. She hides her smiles behind her hands as she sips her mocha latte and pretends not to see the way they catch each other’s gaze when they talk about what they did that day.
At night, when the world sleeps and time slows to a crawl, Daisuke presses his lips against the back of Takeru’s neck as he sleeps and worries about how delicate the skin is there, how easily it could break under his touch.
