Yes, Portugal did win! Beautiful Portugal! 2-0 (no goals conceded so far...Ricardo rules)
I knew our first goal would come from Deco, and I'm happy for Ronaldo. The guy tried so hard to score, he deserved to get one for Portugal. Brilliant! I am happy, happy, happy! Figo played a nice game, and got a scrape on the face to prove it. Deco was of course brilliant, after having been out due to injury. Ricardo (defender) keeps me amazed, so focused and controlled always...he holds up our defense. Pauleta...not his best game, he looked a little alone out the front there, but still gave Iran a few scares.
Now all heads turn to the BIG GAME! It's quarter to ten and I'm going to sleep so I can wake up at 1:30am, dressed in my green and gold, cheering for the Socceroos! (We just got a socceroos scarf to add to our Australian football memorabilia). We are going to win! I hope you all will be cheering along with me. I've convinced the whole family (except my dad) to get up to watch the game (in all fairness, Houri didn't need any convincing...love you nod)
So I'll let you all know when we win, otherwise I'll probably have to delete this lj update, change my name and move to another country!
